Yuan Jing is an NPC in Fate of the Empress. He is an affection target for the female player character.

He is a well-educated gentleman, who was exiled due to a coup. After the new Emperor ascended the throne, he was given the chance to come back to court. All he wants now is the truth.

Honestly, his Dossier has the worst localization and mistranslations I've seen compared to the other 5 affection targets. Yet, he's probably the most popular target
His birthdate is cut off on NA translations. Purposefully or not, we don't know. But if you do, please edit the wiki and help us 🥺
It is lightly implied that the male protagonist (if you were to choose a male character at the start) is Yuan Jing, and vice versa.
- Dongliu is his apprentice as the female protag, but also is the male protag's apprentice
- Played the male protag's role during the Pearl case (Main story)
- They are not the explicitly same character, though it is possible that the alterations of storylines through choosing your sex at the start means that Yuan Jing went through slightly different difficulties which leads to his own different story from the male protag
